It's always a good sign when you walk into a restaurant and the folks native to the locale in question are eating there. Such is the case with Goong Jeon restaurant.
This restaurant was originally recommended to me by an Army civilian. The gentleman in question was formerly an Army service member (like myself). However, unlike me, he had married a Korean national while stationed in Korea.
Long story short: if a native Korean recommends a restaurant such as Goong Jeon... it is worth checking out!
My wife and I are connoisseurs of Korean food (at least, as much as you can be on the East Coast), and enjoyed the mandu, kimchi, and kalbi/galbi in this restaurant.
Menus are in Hangul/Korean with English ""subtitles""; it's best to do your homework on the food selection prior to your visit.
Prices are moderate and well worth the amounts charged.
Pros: food, folks, fun
