Barber VW holds the record for being the single worst auto repair experience I've ever had. Come to think of it, I haven't had a pleasureable experience at ANY VW service center, but this one takes the cake.\r

Since my car is the only one I have, fixing it becomes priority #1 when it decides to stop running smoothly. Barber VW said it would take three days to fix my car. It took TWO WEEKS! That adds up to a lot of costs in car rental! I kept getting the idea that they weren't terribly anxious to get my car finished. \r

If you have a new VW that's under warranty and 1) you're not paying for the service and 2) you have another car to get you around town, THEN maybe this would be a viable option ... but if not, I suggest finding a good, independent VW mechanic in the Ventura area.
