Barber VW 9/28/2005

Barber VW or Barber Volkswagen in Ventura California is one of the few dealers anywhere who know how to treat customers. For many YEARS under the Barber name, they have been treating customers right and they continue today. I have had nothing but great experiences with the SERVICE dept. and I will not take my car anywhere but BARBER VW. I recently brought my Jetta in for just your regular 5k service and they found a safety item that was defected and fixed it under warranty and i had the car back in an hour. more

Auto Dealership 9/19/2005

The sales man was not very friendly or real knowledgeable about the Van.My husband asked him several questions he couldn't answer.He was very pushie and very high presser.That really turned us off.We had seen a new van at another dealership with the same extras for $800 less.So we weren't empressed with their prices.Nothing was really special with them.It was not a good experience. Poor Service 6/23/2005

I can't recommend this company, as they promised me 2 days and it took over a week to get my car back and my car ran worse than before I brought the car in for repairs. My car ended up breaking down less than a week, after the car was suppose to be fixed. Now the car has been donated and I will never buy another Volkswagon again. more

Best Dealer in the World 3/25/2005

I have nothing but excellent service in everything i have done at Barber VW. I sold them my Jetta and got top dollar for it. The service dept will go outta there way to make things right. Paul Gray who is the service manager is awesome and very kind person to deal with. If you want to be taken care of the right way....Go to BARER VW in VENTURA, CA more

Barber VW holds the record for being the single worst auto repair experience I've ever had. Come to think of it, I haven't had a pleasureable experience at ANY VW service center, but this one takes the cake.\r \r Since my car is the only one I have, fixing it becomes priority #1 when it decides to stop running smoothly. Barber VW said it would take three days to fix my car. It took TWO WEEKS! That adds up to a lot of costs in car rental! I kept getting the idea that they weren't terribly anxious to get my car finished. \r \r If you have a new VW that's under warranty and 1) you're not paying for the service and 2) you have another car to get you around town, THEN maybe this would be a viable option ... but if not, I suggest finding a good, independent VW mechanic in the Ventura area. more
