Maddy's aims for a kind of updated, mod, juke-joint atmospere, and it succeeds! I love it when the place is jumpin' and on Sunday mornings, when things are slower and quieter. But this isn't 1939 Mississippi or even 1975 Chicago, folks. What would it hurt to add some real down-home greens, blackeyed peas, snap beans, or sweet tater caserole? We asked a guy working the counter about it once. Nice guy, yet he still sneered and said ""EV'ry one asks that."" . . .Maybe 4 a reason???
Pros: chop pork, great location, parking
