Positives: 1) The hotel reimbursed me for cab fare from LAX since the shuttles weren't running. 2) I was upgraded to a suite (as a Gold VIP member) without any hesitation. 3) Paid about $100/nt with no penalty fee for early check out. Needs Improvement: 1) There's no concierge lounge. 2) I was disappointed to see the condition of the 1BR suite, the hallways, and the elevator. It was obvious that the hotel hasn't been renovated in quite some time, perhaps since the 70s. However, I've recently noticed on their website that the hotel is undergoing major renovations during Jan - May 2003. I'm sure everything will be much better afterwards.
