Top Value for "Stay & Fly" package at LAX 4/25/2005

If you need to park for more than a week at LAX, it is worth it to stay at the nearby Courtyard by Marriott in El Segundo. It is about 5 minutes from the airport by free shuttle, which is provided by the hotel. If you can plan your trip to get a weekend rate, you will pay about $75.00 and get two weeks free parking! This was a great deal. It is more expensive during the week, but if you are paying $10-12 per day to park, it may still be worthwhile. The hotel's rooms were quite nice, the bed was very good and the area is surrounded by restaurants - within 3-4 miles. Outdoor pool, indoor hot tub. more

Needs Renovation 3/1/2003

Positives: 1) The hotel reimbursed me for cab fare from LAX since the shuttles weren't running. 2) I was upgraded to a suite (as a Gold VIP member) without any hesitation. 3) Paid about $100/nt with no penalty fee for early check out. Needs Improvement: 1) There's no concierge lounge. 2) I was disappointed to see the condition of the 1BR suite, the hallways, and the elevator. It was obvious that the hotel hasn't been renovated in quite some time, perhaps since the 70s. However, I've recently noticed on their website that the hotel is undergoing major renovations during Jan - May 2003. I'm sure everything will be much better afterwards. I'll give it a 2nd try knowing this. Pros: Price, Service Cons: Rooms, No Concierge Lounge more
