Had early reservations, which was a good idea in order to avoid the rush. Appetizers were beet carpaccio - excellent combination of goat cheese and beets. Partner's was fresh salad -fine. Entree was braised veal cheeks, which were so tender, one could eat it with a spoon - incredible! Partner's was scallops in a citrus sauce - also very good. Dessert was the 3 creams - not my thing, but tasty, and I had the cheese plate - romano, manchego were a bit pedestrian, but French blue cheese was great. Brie a little spongey. Had a carafe of beaujolais which was perfect. Service was not as ""sophisticated"" as I would think. She was fine but a bit rough around the edges. Reminded me of a college student. Atmosphere is very upscale urban and romantic. Pace was just right - timely but not rushed.
Pros: location in downtown, excellent food, atmosphere
Cons: price for some, "beautiful people"
