My husband and I recently visited Salish for the first time and found our dining experience to be very pleasant. The prices are steep, but we saved money by eating vegetarian meals and not ordering wine (prepare yourself to pay through the nose if you want meat and alcohol). We loved our meals, the view (it's difficult to actually see the falls, but the mist rising out of the valley was plenty romantic), and most of all our dessert . . . beignets and the best hot chocolate you will ever taste in your life, made right at your table! We enjoyed our breakfast the next day as well.
Pros: good food, amazing dessert, expensive
Cons: slow service, good atmosphere
