San Marco's is far and away the best Northern Italian in Western New York. The servers know the menu inside and out and are extremely friendly. As someone else said, let Frank choose a wine for you if you don't know Italian reds well. His taste is impeccable and their wine collection is unsurpassed. I've been going to this restaurant since I was a child when it was on Elmwood Avenue, and it is still my favorite. There is a private room that can be booked for larger parties that is filled with part of their wine collection -- it's a treat to eat there. I recommend the wild boar-- it used to be a special but it's made its way onto the regular menu and is supremely tender and tasty. Even if you don't generally like pork, the wild boar will not disappoint.
Pros: fantastic service, wine is amazing, tons of parking
Cons: location not great
