The Bristol Lounge is three places: 1. the standup bar, where ""everybody knows your name,"" and the bartender (Ron in the evenings) can make friends with you in a second if you just talk to him .. very easy place to meet classy people; 2. a cocktail lounge with great appetizers and piano music, perfect for an after work or before dinner drink with a group of 4-8 BUT be aggressive in telling the waiter how often you want him to check back. They tend to leave you alone but are happy to give faster service if you ask for it. 3. A first class restaurant with a wonderful menu. The crabcakes and clam chowder are superb and the MOnday night meatloaf is the best I've ever tasted. If Ron is on the bar, ask for the ""Oswald Martini"" which is made with Tanqueray Ten gin and jalopeno stuffed olives!
Pros: friendly customers, great food, ambience
Cons: limited menu, service can be slow, hard to get in
