Truly mouth-watering 1/30/2003

I have loved these sandwiches since 1998. The slices of paper-thin pastrami piled high in a roll is simplistic, yet powerful enough to make you want to stop and buy one. I think KROQ's morning show had someone broadcast from here a few years back. From morning to night you can be sure to see at least a few people waiting at the corner for thier sandwiches. I have yet to try anything but the pastrami dip, though. They taste even better when accompanied by the hot peppers they have. Sometimes I mean to try something new, but just seeing one makes me hungry enough to give up my resolve. They cost a little over $6 I think and the one I went to was at the intersection of Garfield and Valley right off the Garfield Ave. exit off the 10 fwy into Alhambra. Pros: pastrami dip, prompt service, great hours Cons: location-st. corner, plastic outdoor seats more
