We just got back from Roney Palace. Overall we enjoyed our stay but experienced some problems. When we first arrived, the key to our room didn't work. After maintenance worked on it for over an hour, we were able to get in. The hotel manager was wonderful though, and gave us coupons for a free breakfast buffet. We were really impressed with our room, although we definitely could have used a refrigerator. We were really disappointed in our waitress at the poolside restaurant. She was HORRIBLE and definitely did not deserve the 20% gratuity that was automatically added to our bill. We were also surprised at the $10 charge that is automatically added each day for use of towels at the pool, etc. (By the way there is also a charge to workout at the hotel gym). Aside from all that it was a nice clean place to stay.
