Sometimes I get the impression these so called ""reviews"" sound a little to much like advertisments written by the restaurants themselves. This is especially the case with Log Haven. True, the canyon is beautiful - but more so in a car with the windows down, not from the Log Haven patio which resembles that of a ski lodge throwing a barbeque. The plastic patio chairs and rather bland decor are not romantic or charming, nor are the denim uniforms of the servers. The dining room enviornment itself is rather clostrophobic and altogether absent of the intimacy that is so talked about. The food here is left wanting. Chef David Jones seems to want to hide every flavor with a nausiating amount of herbs and spices...so much so it is difficult to know what you are tasting. In fact, I think the only thing unseasoned was the canned whipped cream.
