when I'm in San Jose, stopping at the Falafel Drive in is mandatory! it's a hustling scene behind the screened windows where they yell ""falafel, falafel, falafel"" like a John Belushi skit. The falafel is great, as are the homemade banana shakes, hummus, pita chips and the usual fast food.
You can sit outside and watch the traffic on Stevens Creek whiz by, when satiated, I head to Streetlight to buy Cd's. Then I cruise Crossroads for a ""new"" outfit. A cheap and amusing afternoon.
Pros: yummy, cheap, fresh
Cons: long wait when busy, on the street
