In the words of Homer Simpson, the pizza at the Blackthorn is truly ""groin grabbingly transcendent."" The stuff to get is the Chicago style pizza, which is the diametrical opposite of the tripe marketed by the chain that rhymes with ""chinos."" Two layers thick, with a wonderflully spicy/sweet sauce. Sure, it takes 45 minutes for your pizza to come out and, yes, that is a hole in the ceiling, but there's Guiness on tap and you'll find no better pizza this side of Chi town (or perhaps including Chicago).
