Having heard about this place as Gastonia's answer to Ben and Jerry's, it was with salivating anticipation that we made the treck to Tony's.
Well, the shakes with a scoop of ice cream may be great (we didn't have one), but the ice cream itself is quite ordinary. Clearly, the high butterfat revolution in ice cream has bypassed Gastonia, sad for me, but a misfortune which is probably good for the health of the local populace.
Even my 7 year old daughter (whose personal taste buds are generally alligned in inverse correlation to food quality) said, ""This chocolate ice cream isn't very chocolatey.""
