Good: not a thing! Didn't want to even give you a star! So disappointed!. Bad: Everything...not made the same.... butter pecan (FLAVORED) give me a break!. Other: I worked for the Izzy's in Shelby NC in the 70's we made ice cream there,from start to finish! real nuts real fruit...not this flavoring stuff!Who ever started this..not making it with real stuff ort to be ashamed.I paid 5.99 for flavored butter pecan that's not as good as the cheapest ice cream out there! Some one messed up a perfectly good thing!. more

Best ice cream EVER! 11/19/2010

I grew up in Gastonia. Now I live in LA. Every time I come "home" to visit, a stop at Tony's is a must! Even my California family insists on it. No milkshake in the universe like a Tony's milkshake! Be sure and get it without a lid. You get extra ice cream that way!! Next time you are in (or within 50 miles of) Gastonia ya gotta get Tony's Ice Cream! more

Tony's Ice Cream Company 7/29/2006

Tony's Ice Cream Company is located at 520 E Franklin Blvd in Gastonia, North Carolina. They are wonderful. It's easy to find a parking space near the door, but since this place is so popular, you will need to be prepared for a long wait especially on Friday and Saturdays. Even Sundays are busy. I think this place has great milk shakes and hot dogs. They are super! The wait staff is great, and I feel wonderful as a customer. I feel sure if you go here, you will become a regular customer like I have become. more

Ice cream is GREAT! 9/23/2005

Most of the ice cream is made on premises. You can buy it anyway you wish and can even take gallons or pints home with you. They even offer hamburgers and hot dogs. I enjoy this place a lot. It is the kind of place that reminds you of how wonderful it is to be in a small town! I loved my one and only visit, but I will be returning very soon. I was very impressed with it. I understand they have been in business for like forever, so they must be doing something right! Go here and see for yourself. You will love it! more

Some Local Made IceCream 7/24/2005

Tony's Ice Cream has been around since before I was even born. They remind me of a Dairy Queen only better. The main reason they're better is that they actually offer ice-cream in flavors beside just vanilla. They offer food like Dairy Queen does also. Just your basic fast foods like burgers and hotdogs. They're more known for the ice-cream. Most of the ice-cream is made there on the spot. They offer milkshakes and banana splits and floats also. The prices are about average. Nothing expensive. They offer some unique flavors as well, such as, grape, pineapple, lemon, and banana pudding. You can even buy some pints and gallon's to take home if you wish. more
