Coming from Germany, we are very picky about eating at German restaurants in the United States. We have been very disappointed with the several restaurants that we have given a try in Chicago (where we now live) but it was certainly well worth the 1hr 45min drive to the Gasthaus in Wisconsin. The waitstaff wears clothing typical of Barvaria, and their beer is even served in authentic German steins! Try the Weissgerber Amber. Their weinerschnitzel is fabulous as is the Black Forest Torte.
