Everyone who has loved Legos should go at least once, but this park is made for the little ones. Thirty four inches is the magic number for most of the rides, with 42 inches for most of the rest. There are some rides and attractions that are not restricted and most rides allow a parent to ride along.
Mini Town is fun to look at and you should budget about one hour to see most of it. Its good to do about mid-trip, after you've done the rides you wanted, but before the kids are too tired.
Bring your lunch, because park food is expensive. There is a restaurant in the Knights Tale part of the park that has some fairly decent priced combo plates (don't remember the name).
Legoland has added a couple of new "older" kids rides in the last few years, but don't expect Magic Mountain caliber rides.
