The Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha are a beautiful place to go to retreat from the world for a little while. There are many different flower gardens, both indoor and outdoor so you can go any time during the year. I love the hibiscus plants, they remind me of being on a tropical island. There is a nominal admission fee, but if you just need to get away from it all for a little while, this is the place to go. I have spent countless lunch hours there just soaking in the beauty of it all!
