This has to be one of the biggest delis/markets I have ever walked into. I have to say the meat display case is fresh and everything looks wonderful. There is a deli counter, a bakery, a cheese and wine area, a meat counter and they sell produce and other things. I do have to say its one of the high end places. I guess you are getting what you pay for. It cost me $12.99 for one NY strip. 10.99/lb for filet mignons. They are good size. $5.99/lb for chicken oscar. Medium size cooked shrimp for $9.99/lb. I'm just giving you an idea. Don't go in there looking for bargains because thats not happening. They do a good business. I went in at 12:30 in the afternoon and could hardly get a place to park. The stuff is good and its fresh. At the deli they have a lot of NY meats and cheeses. All very good. The question is can you afford to pay those prices to feed your family? Steaks seem to be expensive no matter where I go. They might have a sale at Publix but the steaks there are a joke and still highly priced and you will not get the quality of meat you would get from a place like Mazzaros. And Walmarts meat just turns me off looking at it in the display case. I wont even go there. I have never eaten in Mazzarros so I can't give you an opinion on that. My husband and I love good steaks. If its not good and its going to be rubbery and chewy well I don't even want it. That is meant for stews and such where you can tenderize it by different methods of cooking. For good quality steaks I do recommend Mazzaros. For around $35.00 I walk out with a couple of filets, a couple of stuffed chicken breasts and a NY strip. Its a big one though. Enough for my husband and I to split. I don't eat a lot of meat. So I don't need a steak that big. I do like good quality and I can't emphasize that enough. Without the quality whats the sense in buying it.
