So far this is my favorite park in the West End area. They playground isn't only set up to be fun and allow the children to be active, it is set up to help them learn while playing! The structures are amazing with trains and trucks to climb aboard, "spider-web" ropes to climb, a winding fire pole to swing down, and so many small details in every corner. I even love to play on the spinning seats! The whole area is also covered in shade. It is very obvious a lot of thought by a lot of brilliant engineers and children's specialists went into creating this incredible place.
This park also has separates areas for big kids and little kids, though they are situated directly beside each other. Moms can hang out in the middle and watch everyone play.
There is a very large, open grassy area perfect for flying kites or a game of touch football, or just enjoying a picnic. On the other side is a lake to walk around and enjoy.
The park was once a 19th century farm and is now a museum.
