There are so many dogs and cats in need of adoption, but from the way you're treated by the PHS staff, you'd think that these animals were as rare as blue diamonds. I came here looking for a dog, and was turned down simply because my sister, who I live with, owns a miniature pinscher, and the staff felt that this dog wouldn't do well with another addition to the home. Did I mention they never even met the miniature pinscher? There are so many shelters in Los Angeles and hundreds of animals that need your help. Might as well go somewhere where the staff understands that the purpose of a shelter is to get the animals adopted!
