I did my research got my quotes via email, John Eagle Honda Houston was the low ball bid by a substancial amount so I called and was told by the salesman the vehical was indeed $21,749.00 exc TTL. I was assured over the phone that this was the price I would pay for the car. When I got to the John Eagle Honda (after two hours) they added had $2200.00 worth of "dealer added items" on to the price and told me they couldn't "not charge for them". We walked away. I got a call later that day saying they would sell me the car "no more games" for $21,749 exc ttl. When I agreed and then pressed for financing information on the application we had filled out they immediatly hedged and would not tell me. We said no thanks. They called me back a week later and repeated "we will sell you the car at the price we quoted $21,749 exc ttl". I pressed for financing information and received %4.25-%4.90 interest range from the business office. I stated this would be acceptable and then pressed for a verbal confirmation of the car price. The salesman then came back with the price he had originally quoted PLUS $570 in "dealer added options" AGAIN!!!!! The dealer items are "Tinted Windows, Interior protection, Mud Gards, Anti Theft Engraving". It's an EX-L w/Navi I really don't think the dealer "pulled the glass out of the car a replaced it with tinted glass and engraved it etc it probably came that way from the factory LOL. It amazes me in this economy that they have a wel qualified customer ready to sign and drive and they want to play games. I and my wife are so tired of dealing with this that I think we will just drop the whole thing and wait a coupe of months or more and see how the economy shapes up.
