Briarwood hired a “groomer” who was convicted of Confinement & Restraint of Dogs, along with other troubling legal/professional issues, on top of traumatizing and harming my cat.
The “groomer,” Sandy Dolberg, SEDATED MY CAT WITHOUT CONSENT after being told not to. He was unable to remain upright in his carrier and kept face diving into the side on the way home.
She butchered my cat’s coat, cut his paw, cut his whiskers, left clumps of fur on him, then she (and Laura) were dishonest about what happened. I have a recording of my conversation discussing my concerns with Laura, and you can hear the discrepancies.
In addition, I overheard them speaking negatively about an older woman with blond/white/gray hair, blue leggings (drove an SUV) who was bringing her dog (poodle mix maybe) for grooming. This offensive convo happened right in front of me, then I was basically told my cat wasn’t a priority and Sandy insinuated the [entitled/high maintenance] woman would have a fit if her needs weren’t met immediately.
It’s clear my cat (and his wellbeing) weren’t and aren’t important, as evidenced by everyone from Briarwood’s blatant refusal to communicate despite having been given ample time to do so. I’ll continue to inform relevant agencies/organizations.
Please reconsider before taking your vulnerable animals to Briarwood, particularly for extended periods. Your pets cannot tell you they have been abused, injured, or sedated without consent. My cat was traumatized/harmed while in their care, and I am speaking up for him.
There is more than unprofessional, unethical, and unsafe practices. It’s extremely unsettling. Everything I’ve uncovered is 100% publicly available information.
