It would have been more appropriate to have been offered an array of hearing aid possibilities on the first visit, rather than a judgement made that someone else could decide what I wanted. It would have been more correct also to discuss the total payment then including the fee for subsequent visits. In other words, it is difficult to trust the office despite the front desk being particularly pleasant and helpful. The behavior of the Phonak company in repeatedly reusing materials that are not appropriate for new appliances seems to have been long standing and is offensive. If that happens the office should note exactly which items are irrelevant.
