Do yourself a favor and do not hire this company! My move from NY to CA was horrendous all because of them. Although they will be super attentive prior to pick up, once they have your household goods in their possession they no longer care about your move anymore. Paul Mcdermott was able to provide a great sales pitch to secure my contract but unfortunately was unable to thoroughly explain all of the details of the move. If he had, I definitely would have re-thought my decision. The carrier claimed that the weight of my household goods was ridiculously higher than it should have been and in the end I ended up paying almost double what my original estimate was and my delivery was 2 weeks late. Who knew plywood furniture could be so heavy!
The customer service is a nightmare - no one will ever call you back and it takes at least a half an hour to get anyone on the phone. I basically ended up coordinating my own delivery, which actually ended up being much easier considering that the representatives assigned to my account provided absolutely no assistance and were just there to take your money. When I had my account reviewed I was offered a lousy $100 refund which does not do anything to make me happy considering they had just ripped me off for thousands of dollars.
I could've driven my stuff cross-country myself and saved a whole lot of money, sweat, and tears. I will never use this company again.
