Felt like I paid for a salesman to service my furnace. The company was responsive and able to schedule someone to come to the house quickly. I was charged $80+ dollars which is their standard service call rate. Service Tech pushed to have my entire furnace replaced before even troubleshooting the problem. He said it may end up being cheaper to just replace the furnace. Really? Really? Well, the replacement part cost $13 including shipping cost, so not true. Blue Dot was going to charge $275 for the replacement part. Ooooch. Big delta in cost. It's too bad businesses take advantage of consumers, especially when they really need service (i.e. no heat).
