Somerset Apartments in Bath bills themselves as a "luxury apartment". I've lived here for five weeks, and while its a nice place, it's not what I would call a luxury apartment.
New buildings, nice high ceilings, modern cabinetry, expensive washers and dryers... Yes, those come off as luxurious, but the sliding doors are super cheap, the patios are microscopic, the "club house" is a joke. There was spray paint all over the appliances in the laundry room from the painter and the "management" knew nothing about it. The floor drain in the laundry room only works if the floor has an inch of water because the floor is not pitched toward the drain. The caulking around all the counters and bathroom fixtures looks as though it was done by a child. The three maintenance personnel are reminiscent of Larry & his two brothers, Darryl, from the Bob Newhart show. They never get it right the first time.
Luxury? No, not even close.
However, Somerset is a pleasant setting and has pleasant, modern apartments. And it's reasonably quiet. So it's not a bad place to live, just not at all what anyone other than the sales department would call luxurious.
