Stay away from LEX at all costs. Anything would be better than getting on a LEX bus.
We had a reservation to travel from Champaign to Chicago O'Hare. We called to find out where to board the bus and the LEX office staff could not definitively tell us where to stand. Their website also does not accurately mark the boarding location. We followed instructions (poor as they were) and stood in front of the ISR dorm. We arrived 15 minutes early. The bus arrived, however it stopped about 50 feet away at Levis Center. As we walked towards the bus, a passenger boarded, but then the driver closed the door and took off! We ran towards the bus, waving frantically, and finally either another passenger or the driver noticed and the bus stopped. When we reached the bus, the driver was extremely arrogant. He said that you are not on the passenger list (without even checking). When we insisted he check the list, he did so, and said, "Oh yeah, you are on my list." We told the driver that it was extremely stressful for us (both nearly 80 years old) to run so far after the bus. He arrogantly replied,"If you want to go with another bus I will take your suitcase down". He repeated this 3 times in total! We arrived in one piece at the airport eventually but what a toll on our mental and physical health.
If you don't mind going with a rude and arrogant bus driver, and can afford to run blocks after a bus that leaves without letting you board, then go with LEX. Otherwise, stay away.
