When I moved recently, I dutifully filled in a change of address form. Since then only about half of my mail is being forwarded to me. I stopped by the Wallingford post office today because the folks at my old address are tired of sending the other half to me.
I thought it would be a quick stop. I didn't think my experience there would ruin the rest of my day. The person behind the counter was surprisingly rude, and weirdly accusatory. She spoke to me as if I were bothering her. When I stepped aside to fill in a form, she complained to the next customer that they have to do a lot of "hand-holding" of the customers there. I can only wish that my experience had been more like hand-holding. In short, I still don't know if the problem has been fixed. I'm never going there again.
