We alternate taking our dog to Pawtropolis in Athens and another daycare in Atlanta. We are very happy with Pawtropolis and consider it one of the better ones we've used. The facility is always clean and the staff is quick to let us know if there is anything we need to be concerned about, i.e. he had an upset stomach, etc. We've also used Pawtropolis's at home service for cat sitting and their very convenient pet taxi. The cost for the taxi is a little high, but it's a great service if you get stuck at work or can't get to pick your dog up before closing time and don't want to board him. The owner places more of an emphasis on discipline and good canine citizenship than some of the other places we've used and I think that's a good thing. Overall, I would very much recommend Pawtropolis. Also, as to one of the other reviewers comments about her dog coming home smelling bad...your dog's playing with other dogs all day. It is going to get other sometimes smelly doggie fluids on it. My dog has come home with a smell from every daycare he's been too, some worse than others. His smell from Pawtropolis is definitely better than some other places we've been. I guess it's all about perspective.
