We took our pets to Pawtropolis for approx. 2 years. Our dogs came home reeking of urine - even after only staying for 2-3 hours. So, we had to request a bath (cost extra) for even the shortest of stays. Although most employees were caring and courteous, some, especially the owner, were condescending at times. She left a nasty message on our answer machine after one of her employees made a mistake regarding our billing. On one occasion, we had to cancel our vacation (and pet boarding) because we had just learned that our dog had cancer. When we called Pawtropolis to let them know we were cancelling boarding, they said, "well, have fun on your vacation anyway." Because learning your dog is sick is fun? The last straw was this: we told the employees at Pawtropolis on THREE SEPARATE occasions that one of our dogs had leash aggression. They all ignored this information, one "trainer"/employee even telling us to our face: "that's strange, usually it is the opposite - dogs have aggression off-leash." Of course, that is why Amazon sells multiple books that discuss this altogether very rare behavioral quirk. Well, to be expected, there was eventually an on-leash incident.
I have heard from other people, including veternarians, who have very bad things to say about this facility. They are the only (interactive) doggy day care in the area. If another business opened up, I would hope they would do a better job, for the sake of the animals.
