At least 2 female co-workers had bad experiences with Courtland Hardware on Bond Street in Bel Air. After a ridiculous BGE bill for December 2009, I thought I would at least ask some questions about pellet stoves. The man helping made me feel like a complete idiot. I had told him I had no experience or knowledge with pellet stoves before we started the conversation. Every question I asked was made to feel like a stupid question. When I asked about safety and leaving the stove running while nobody is home, the man answered in a condescending tone "You leave your furnace running all day now don't you?" Well, yes I do good sir, but it happens to be a heat pump.
Sometimes people have bad days I guess or don't like to deal with people who have no knowledge of a product or issue. I have never written a review before, but I felt compelled after speaking with several other people who have had similar experiences.
Courtland has a huge sale in March, and I am sure I could save some money. However, I'll take my business somewhere else where the staff is friendlier and more willing to take the time to answer my question.
