I used to volunteer there, have adopted a cat from there, and still have to go there on occasion for rescue work I do. I think they overall do want what they think is best for the animal, but their customer service and people skills are extremely lacking.
If you are jaded with life from working at a shelter, find a new job. Just because you work at a shelter does not make you an animal expert, or give you the right to judge others. Overall my opinion is that HAWS needs to clean house and find some employees with a little compassion. Especially to those people like me who are trying to help in the fight against animal neglect and cruelty.
