bad customer service 10/12/2011

Wow the people there are so rude. When I was there with my daughter there wasn't even anyone walking around asking if I had any questions or needed help. They when I do have a question I got a very rude response. I don't think I will ever go back. more

Good Basic Intentions, Poor People Service! 3/6/2009

I used to volunteer there, have adopted a cat from there, and still have to go there on occasion for rescue work I do. I think they overall do want what they think is best for the animal, but their customer service and people skills are extremely lacking. If you are jaded with life from working at a shelter, find a new job. Just because you work at a shelter does not make you an animal expert, or give you the right to judge others. Overall my opinion is that HAWS needs to clean house and find some employees with a little compassion. Especially to those people like me who are trying to help in the fight against animal neglect and cruelty. more

Excellent Humane Society 12/5/2005

HAWS (the Waukesha Co. Humane Society) is an ideal place to adopt a pet. They are thorough and precise in the adoption and very careful to make sure to pair the right animal with the right family. We adopted our dog from here and they interviewed us before we were even accepted. Once you are approved, you are taken to a large (gymnasium size ) room to meet your pet. You are given lots of hands on training. The animals come fully neutered and spayed and with their first set of innoculations. The staff is absolutely wonderful, very caring and attentive. There is also a website to preview any available animals. more

we found our little friend here 9/8/2005

This animal shelter is a wonderful place to find your next pet. We got our little pekingese dog from them a few weeks ago. The price of $99 included his neutering which was a really good deal I thought. The staff is knowledgable and friendly and answer all your questions. We even got two free appointments with their trainer to help us with training him more
