I'm glad I made a decision one year ago to hire a personal trainer. At that time, I didn't know where to begin to find the right trainer. I mentioned my goal to a friend of mine and she enthusiastically recommended Jay. She not only recommended him, she also followed up with me to make sure I set up an appointment. My friend's enthusiasm and persistence broke through my procrastination and apprehension; I made the phone call to Jay and I'm so glad I did. It has to be one of the best decisions I ever made. When I met and talked with Jay I was impressed by his open, confident and easy-going personality. He listened to my fitness goals and started me on a personalized program. Life-changing Experience 4/14/2008

As a neurotic bride-to-be, I have to admit that I first called Jay mostly because I was worried about how my arms will look in my wedding dress. But since then, he has managed to completely change my outlook on both exercise and diet. After several years of sporadic gym memberships where I would spend 30 minutes on a treadmill three times a week and wonder why I never looked any different as well as lots of money spent on random exercise classes (kickboxing, Pilates, etc.) that were equally frustrating, I finally decided it was time to get specialized help. Like many people, I lacked basic education on how to approach true fitness. And not being an especially active or athletic person, a lot of it did not come naturally. Jay has introduced me to strength training, focused stretching, and healthier eating habits ? all designed to help me get the specific results I want as well as improve my overall health. He has taken the time to understand my individual needs, is very patient with my limitations, and does an excellent job of keeping my program fresh and challenging. I have yet to suffer from the same burn-out/boredom that used to cause me to quit going to the gym. While I can?t truthfully say I love exercising now, Jay is the kind of person for whom you want to do well. He lives and breathes what he teaches, which is inspiring on its own, but he also takes a genuine interest in seeing me succeed. The first time I was able to do several push-ups in a row, I got the feeling he was as excited about it as I was. That kind of dedication keeps me motivated. And after three short months, I am seeing big changes in how my body looks and feels: improved posture, increased muscle definition and greater strength. Needless to say I would highly recommend Jay. Working with him has truly been a life-changing experience which will outlive looking a certain way on my wedding day. more

I was a skeptic...then I met Jay 4/2/2008

If you ask any one who knows me, I?m the last person in the world they would expect would ever hire a personal trainer. ?I do not need motivation or instruction??I always thought?that was until I started having lower back issues. I soon began to realize that I could not continue to work out and lift the same way I did when I was in 20?s. I started working with Jay a year ago. He changed the entire way I think of healthy living. He?s not just a kick your butt trainer, he educates you on nutrition and general healthy lifestyle. If you?re looking for a get thin quick approach Jay is not your guy. No unnatural supplements or so called metabolism boosters, just old fashioned exercise and healthy eating. He practices what he preaches and he?s not only interested in collecting your money. He cares about your results and making a permanent change in your life. As a result, I lost 15 pounds and 2 sizes, but I gained a new attitude about my body and the way I treat it. I highly recommend working with Jay. It will be one of the best investment you ever make. more

I have worked with Jay for almost a year now. He is helping me to make long term sustainable changes in my life. Best of all I work out in my own house with no need to go to a gym. His holistic approach is helping me to develop healthy living habits which are helping me to feel better in all areas. more

A trainer who will show you results withOUT being a cheerleader 11/12/2007

I was very skeptical to get a trainer at first; I thought, why pay for a cheerleader? I don't need one. But then I met Jay. I have been working with Jay for the past 3yrs, and it was only when I started working with Jay that I saw results. I have always been an exercise-nut, but I never saw the exact results I wanted. I was never over-weight, but I was not 100% satisfied with my overall appearance and frankly, my overall well-being. And nothing I did seemed to make a difference. I wanted to tone-up, increase my energy and better my health. For my toning goals, I would tell Jay specifically what I wanted, sadly (or not!) using celebrities as examples, and honestly, I would reach those results. I literally had friends and family members tell me I had lost weight and looked ""terrific."" People at the gym and people I would randomly meet would ask me how much I worked out, what I did, AND if I was on some insane diet! Never been on a diet, never will be. In fact, I eat more and I eat better. Now, I work out less. Now, I am happier and healthier. Jay not only gave me an exercise program that fit with my work schedule, he also helped with my nutrition, teaching me the importance of what I eat. But besides all this, the best thing about Jay is that he is a genuine guy who does this for one honest reason: to give you your goal...as long as you work for it. But really, a goal worth reaching isn't easy, or else it wouldn't be worth getting. I would reccommend Jay to anyone and everyone. Graet Results 11/11/2007

I have been working out with Jay for over one year. Before I started working out with Jay, I was 240lbs, 40 inch waist, and limited with my flexibility. Since I have started working out with Jay, I have lost close to 40LBS, lost 4 inches in my waist, and built stamina. I recently broke my ankle, in which I had to have surgery. Initially I was told to plan to stay the night, as there was a couple of activates that I needed to do, and probably would not be able to do them until the next day. I was required to climb stairs with my cast, and walk hallways of the hospital before I would be released from there. I completed these activities in the early afternoon of the day of my surgery. The doctor and physical therapist has said that if I was not in good shape (I am not in great shape, but I am getting there with Jay), I would not have been able to complete these requirements that day. If I had to do that a year ago, I would not been able to do this on the afternoon of my surgery (thanks to Jay) and be released from the hospital the day of my surgery. more
