Best

Fabulous experience and great hair cut. Joshua was so patient, skilled and a great listener. I felt like I saw my therapist but felt great after.

Worst

unimpressed by haircut and service..but they will let you come back and have it corrected if you are unsatisfied. Pros: free beer/wine Cons: everything else

bob..where are all the good stylists 9/25/2007

Recently, I called to make an appointment with Lyric at bob, not only the best stylist in Athens, probably the best stylist ever. Seems that she has moved to a salon in downtown Athens, Republic Salon. I reluctanty decided to go to Republic, because I love Lyric. Wow, is this the most gorgeous salon ever?? Located on the third floor over Tasty World. I thought I was in New York, no beyond New York, I was in the most gorgeous, most decked-out salon..ever. This is salon is definitely the best ever in Athens, GA. And, here was Lyric, happy as can be and still the best haircutter that ever existed. And, the chilled glass of vodka was great, as was the staff. Thank you so much, I will be back next month! more

Great Experience 8/2/2007

Joshua has cut my hair three times now. He always does a great massage on my head! and offers me a soda, and makes me feel very relaxed. He is a great listener too! I love his hair cuts. I wanted a style change for years, and he has given me a whole new look! more

What happened 6/26/2007

What happened to bob salon? I've been going here for over a year and during my last appointment the staff was rude, the place was empty and there was some girl yelling about how much she hated her hair. I also saw one of the newer stylists and got the worst haircut of my life! I don't know what has happened to this salon, but I hope they work it out. more

Fun Salon 8/31/2006

Bob Salon is a great place to get your hair cut in Athens, GA. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is fun and sort of funky. I really enjoy my visits here and can see why the salon is always busy. If you go here you won't be disappointed. more

BOB is the best place to go in Athens, and maybe even in the Southeast. I've been to tons of salons and BOB is friendly and they do a fantastic job. The hype is worth it. I love the people here and I've always always come out with fantastic hair. more

Bob is fun 5/27/2006

I had a really great cut at Bob Salon a few weeks back. The space is really cute and the staff is ultra helpful. I would (and do) recommend this place to all my friends. It sure beats driving to Atlanta for a so-so cut that's too expensive. more

Great experience! 5/25/2006

I've always had great experiences at Bob Salon. I've never tried John Roberts (as Karla W. reviewed) but have seen Lyrics, Nicole, and Challa and they have all done a fantastic job with highlights and cuts. The atmosphere here is relaxed and they are always busy, which I personally like. more

Horrible Color 5/16/2006

I went to try this place since my friend kept saying how greta it was... Now I am SOOO sorry I did. I saw John Roberts and he totally burned my head with whatever he used for my hi-lites. My hair is actually breaking off in small chunks. I called ot try and have someone look at it and totally got blown off by the receptionist AND the manger!!!! If this guy is the best they have to offer...you are better off at Cost Cutters more

BEST in Athens! 5/4/2006

I've been burned by salons before but am glad to say I had the best experience at bob's salon! The staff was awesome and there were homemade cookies in the waiting area. My stylist was running late and I was even called before I arrived to let me know this. While I waited, the front desk girls were very attentive and offered me a drink more than once. Lyric was definitely worth the wait! It's been about a month since I had my cut and it's growing out amazingly. I will probably go back and let her do my color as well as I hear she's really great at it. I entirely believe you get what you pay for and this experience was definitely worth the price!! more

Bob Salon - Athens, GA 3/23/2006

If you're overly protective of your hair like I am, and you live anywhere close to Athens, Bob Salon is THE best place to get your hair done. I know one of the owners personally, and because of that I would trust any of the stylist. It not like other salons where one, or if you're lucky, two of the stylists are great, at Bob Salon all the stylists are amazing! If you're price sticker shocked, and would never in a million years spend $50 or more on your hair, let me tell you how I see it. When you go to other inexpensive places to get your hair cut, it looks great for the first month, again if you're lucky, but then it's time to get it cut again. I got my hair cut at Bob Salon in May 2005, and I haven't had a cut since. My hair has grown out great - just take a look at my picture! So, why not spend a little more? In the long run, I truly believe that you'll save more money. more

Awesome 1/20/2006

This place is great! I had the best cut and color here of my life. Athens has really needed a cute, hip place like this for awhile with great stylists to boot. I saw Nicole and she was just awesome, very professional. They also offer beer and wine and after a long work week, this was just what I needed. Thanks, Bob! more
