I first started seeing Dr Zedek in May. I was extremely depressed for the past 8 months. I had been diagnosed with depression about ten years ago and it has been an up and down battle. I finally decided to see Dr Zedek after being referred by a family member of mine. For the past two months I have taken a new medication and I take it in combination with my existing medication. The only positive to this doctor would be for a drug addict looking for an easy script. If that's what you're looking for, this is your guy. I am not surprised that I am not the only bad review (to say the least) on this doc. My son is only 5 years old and only recently diagnosed with ADHD and struggling in school terribly. I have to admit that I am very ignorant on the subject but I am actively trying to educate myself with books, support groups, etc and was looking for a doctor to work with me to help my son. Dr. Zedek is not it at all. When I tried to ask questions about treatments and voiced a concern over side effects he FLIPPED OUT! When I referenced a book I had read he basically told me ""HOW DARE YOU BRING A BOOK TO A DOCTOR""S OFFICE"". He even tried to compare my lack of trust in him to a patient questioning their doctor's breast cancer treatment and suggested that one should, ""just take care of the lump in your breast yourself"". Are you kidding me?!?! Instead of trying to figure out why the ADHD meds were giving my son rage and aggresion symptoms (dopamine overload perhaps - per the book I am reading) he just wrote him a script to combat the side effects of the first script, He wanted me to put my 5 year old (hyper and inattentive but very sweet, loving, and intelligent) on anti-psychotics! I think not. I am not going to condemn my 5 year old to a life of pills because some doctor is out to make an easy dollar off of every script he writes. And despite what he says, he is TERRIBLE with kids!!! more

I read some reviews on another site about Dr. Zedek and went today. He was professional and kind and refilled my old prescription and we are trying a new one out for some situational depression I've been dealing with. I'm going to see him next month for a follow up. I felt comfortable in his little office and everyone who worked there was kind. The only negative I can say is that the wait was a little long but the office's magazines kept me entertained. YES!!! Ever since I was abused at Dr. Zedek's Eastern Ave. Office and subsequently started reading reviews of Dr. Zedek & Dr. Jay Somers, I KNEW DR. ZEDEK WAS WRITING HIS OWN REVIEWS!!! Then about a year after my horrible situation at that office, I started looking for more reviews and LO AND BEHOLD there are several people out there who aware of this. The difference between reviews written by real patients are so obvious. And when Dr. Zedek writes his own reviews, he says the same things about himself. He just changes the wording. The Dr.s at this office will invariably prescribe medications which the pharmaceutical companies pay them to PUSH. Especially Abilify and Fanapt. I was prescribed the Anti-Psychotic for Depression and suffered terrible side effects, only to find out that these are medications which Dr.s Zedek and Somers are PAID to promote. All I needed was a refill on my regular medications which I've been taking successfully for several years. Instead what I got was a drug which almost landed me in the Hospital. Furthermore I arrived at the Rx and discovered that I'd only been prescribed a four day supply, which meant that I'd be returning the next week to PAY for another appointment. DR. ZEDEK DEFINITELY WRITES HIS OWN REVIEWS!! This is now confirmed by the many other patients who have noticed this as I have...Where theres smoke, theres fire. DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONES BE ABUSED BY MONEY-HUNGRY, ETHICLESS SO CALLED DR.S!!!!! more

Please don't come to Dr. Zedek if you would like any knowledgeable help or therapy. If, however, you would like to witness him screaming at the top of his lungs at his staff in front of you, he is sure to oblige. What a joke! He will, however, be happy to prescribe psychiatric medication for you. If drug therapy is all you are looking for, he's your man. Look at most of these positive reviews - he must be creating accounts to boost his ratings...just plain weird. more

I ama current patient of Dr. Zedeks. A newer one of them. I found out I had cancer a few months ago and it was reccomended that I seek some help to deal with the news. I saw a few drs and then I found zedek. He has helped me so much and he has been there thru thick and this with these treatments of mine. I hope to beat the cancer and i know he will be delighted to see me get thru everything with flying colors. Thanks for being there for me dr z. Pros: knows what he is doing, Cons: NOTHING more

I have been dealing with anxiety and panic disorder for what would be almost be 3 years. i saw Zedek only twice, and feel as though i have been cured. Unremarkable results and soo fast! I haven't had one attack since I started the medication and advice perscribed. He is a great doctor, physciatrist, and friend and i reccomend him to anyone dealing with something he can treat. Never thought I would see a day where my heart wouldn't start beating, and feeling like my inside was closing in. Since I've started seeing him, everyday is that day I longed for. I am new to Dr. Zedek's office as he is new to Pahrump. Let me start with the office. It is big, spacious, and feels like home. The young woman at the front dest is such a sweetheart. The Dr..... He is amazing. I spent an hour in the room with him on my first visit. We talked about all kinds of stuff that really made me think. He is kind, carring, and he is there to help me. Thank god I found such a nice Dr. In Pahrump. I feel honored to heve met such a wonderfull Dr. Thank you for coming to Pahrump Dr Zedek. You are great and we needed you up here. To everyone reading this and considering if you should go or not, Please go and see for yourself just how wonderfull he really is. You wont be sorry. There are so many things I can say about Dr. Zedek that I dont know where to start. I guess I will start with THANK YOU. You saved my like and I could never thank you enought for that. You made me so happy when you helped me be stable enought to see my kids again and now I have full custody of them. You mean the world to me and I will never be able to repay you for everything you have done for me and my family. Thank you for giving my life back to me. I took my son to see Dr Zedek about a week ago. I am amazed at the change in my son already. My son is adopted and has some serious problems. He would scream for hours if he did not get what he wanted, kick holes in the walls, scream at me and his dad, etc. It was horrible. I was ready to comiit myself put it that way. Now my son is 500 X better. Dr Zedek has helped me so much and he has gone far above my expectations of any dr. I am amazed at what he has done with my son and for me. I am so greatfull. He not only helped my son he has helped me in so many ways and save my sanity. I reccomend him to everyone and EVERYONE out there that needs help. He will be there for you and your family. OK, I must admit he does like the office warm and it is small. He will be moving offices in about 1 year because that is when his lease runs out. So small waighting room but great service. I really cant complain as he is well worth it. Considering the care I get from him a small waighting room is nothing compared to the issues he helpes me with. He is wonderfull and he really cares about me. Everything in life has its ups and down but sometimes you have to deal with a small waighting room to get the best Dr. Worth it to me. Dr Zedek has been treating my daught for a short time now. I am amazed with the results. Thank you Dr Zedek. I missed my baby girl. I could never say enough good things about him. Thank you for mooving to Pahrump now, makes the drive sooooo much easier on me. Love the new office too. Dr Zedek is great. He has helped me thru tough times. Without him I am not sure where I would be. I dont have panick attacts anymore and my anxiety is gone. I am happy and doing great. I have been very happy since the day I walked into the office. Very pleased with the staff and the Dr. has helped me to cope with everyday life. The stress is still there but I can deal with it. Still a work in progress but I feel I have found someone who can help me and who really cares. Dr. Zedek is the best. I saw Dr. Yaron (Ron) Zedek to discuss some very serious issues: alcohol abuse, depression, and anxiety being the top few. In the 40 minutes I spent waiting there, I saw at least 4 other patients get called back and leave. When I was called to his office he demonstrated very unprofessional behavior. Examples include: • Receiving a call from his wife, which lasted 2-3 minutes • Interrupting me every time I tried to elaborate on something • Obviously not believing some of my answers to his questions • Being extremely impatient with my questions • Trying to intimidate me into taking a very powerful psychosomatic drug not relevant to my condition (Geodon) • Lying about the risks of Geodon • Spending less than 15 minutes diagnosing me with a very serious condition I have since gotten a second opinion, and my new Dr. (who has already spent 2 and a half hours on 2 separate occasions with me) does not agree with Zedek’s diagnosis. He also said Geodon would not even have been the right drug if Zedek’s diagnosis was correct. I requested a refund, but he has refused and is insisting his diagnosis was well considered. He claims he spent a half an hour diagnosing me, which is a flat out lie. Do not go to Zedek for real help. He is nothing more than a licensed drug dealer. I have only been here for about 2 years, but had a lot of anxiety and suffered from panic attacks. Dr. Zedek was recommended by a friend. After just a few visits, I started feeling much better. Dr. Zedek adjusted medications and worked with me to get just the right one. I am now free of all panic attacks and feel like a new person. Thanks, Dr. Zedek! Pros: Listens intently more

Almost six years ago I had just arrived in Las Vegas from California, and was in strong diffuse anxiety. \r It was affecting my marriage seriously. After one session Dr Zedek diagnosed my condition as a bi polar\r reaction, and put me on what is now a mild dose of Abilify. I immediadely settled down, and continued on this medication, and my life is stable and successful. I see Dr Zedek two times a month, having done this for almost 6 years,and he is very caring and helpful in maintaining the stability in my life. Pros: Bright and Insightful more
