I am very hard to please - hate to spend money and try to fix everything myself. \r \r Julio was able so nice on the phone that I gave him a shot, and boy did he deliver. \r \r Zap's shop is big, clean and organized - you can tell that Julio has pride in the location - it is impressive to walk in and see the setup.\r \r Both of my laptops had issues - one was very slow, and the other would just get stuck in an auto-shutdown and restart loop. Julio was able to save my data, clean & restore both laptops, and gave me tips on what I can do to keep them running cooler and faster. He even fixed what a previous tech from another shop illegally installed on one of my Laptops.\r \r Zap has a customer for life with me - I am recommending this shop to everyone, and I challenge you to call for a quote! more

This is by far the best company I have ever been too. They have always had the best customer service and never once led me stray. Thanks Julio for giving me the ability to get back to work with a working computer. As long as this company is open I will not be going anywhere else. more

Holy crap....these guys suck. They blew up my computer. When I got it back, it crashed within 15 minutes and all my pictures were gone. Horrible place. Do not go here please. more

So I built a new PC and after about 2 weeks of use it decided to give me one of those terrifying blue screens and after restart i lost the ability to connect to any Wi-fi networks. Windows wasn't recogninzing the drivers no matter what i even deleted windows and re-installed fresh with the same problem. I realized i'd probably need to take it to get checked out somewhere..... The first place i chose to try was not too far from ZAP, i liked the employees there and decided to give them a shot. I told them that all i needed was my wi-fi to work. simple enough right? They told me it'd be fixed by the next day. So about 6 days and about 10 trips back and forth later they were trying desparately to fix this mysterious issue. they told me it was fixed and upon taking it home the same problem was there. I would take it back and then They gave up on me and said they couldn't fix it and they couldn't understand why. I was given a refund along with utter hopelessness. I was starting to give up. I figured if a professional business can't figure this out where should i go now? I drove to frys on instinct but wasn't comfortable once i talked to the employees there in the service dept. Not only that, but its 70 bucks regardless if your problem gets fixed or not. Thats when i decided to actually do some research on google to find the best Computer shop near whittier and ZAP was the highest rated one so i hit them up. Julio answered the phone and told me to come on in and that he'd be glad to check it out right away. I walked in and met Julio, he was a real cool guy, willing to help around your needs. Hes also very thorough on what he wants to do and what to expect as far as price, as im sure it varies on the issue. So sure enough i told him the whole situation about a previous shop not being able to fix it and he told me he could actually have it fixed within a few hours! this was before he even tried to do anything yet! He also offered me some cool programs to have which was a cool bonus :-D Because of all these options together i decided to go for it. Sure enough only a few hours later he called me and told me that my PC was fixed and ready. When i went back in to the shop he actually had my PC Running on a monitor and showed me that the wifi worked and everything which is a great thing to do. Unfortunately when i got home my PC once again decided to glitch out and not connect to the internet. I called julio up he said not to worry and that he could have a technician come to my house the following morning to fix this thing once and for all in my own house. Later that night on his own personal time he actually called me back and suggested i try some alternate options within my ISP and sure enough he was right and my computer finally got back on Wi-fi!!!!!!. This guy really cared about making sure your money is well spent and he put my problem as a priority. I told him i was gona write a very good review for his business because i think ZAP deserves it! thanks again julio more

To Scam Queen First of all I do not recall anyone comming into Zap Computer Repair with the specific problem you are describing. I diagnose computers in front of the customers on the spot, I do not tell the customer I will check it out and call you later with a price. We have been in business for over ten (10) years and take pride in ourselfs for being very honest and very proffessional. Regarding your statement about you writing reviews for 20 years we did an intensive research on your SCAM QUEEN user name and we did not find one single review from your specific name, we did find out that the Scam Queen user name was recently created just a few days before you wrote this review about my business which proves to me that the 20 year history is hard to believe. I challenge you to come into Zap Computer Repair and pick any of my reviews I mean any of the ones that you claim are fake and I will introduce you personally to that loyal customer. So if you really are a real person I invite you to come in to my shop and we can show you how we do business and take good care of our customers. Another review by SCAM QUEEN (for those of you who don't know me by now, I visit different business in the city of Whittier trying to find the most reputable and honest companies to go to) Once again here is another computer shop that tries to rip you off! I brought in a ""decoy"" laptop (which there is absolutely nothing wrong with it) and Zap Computer Repair check it out. I told them it was running slow and acting funny, so left it and they called me back and told me there is 1) virus 2) the drive was old and needed to be upgraded. Cost was going to be $180.00. Rip off Artist! The other 3 computer shops I visited that week said the laptop was running smoothly. Those other computer shops are all in Whittier and will have my good reviews. One more thing, do not judge a business by the Google or Yelp reviews. Most of the time its the business owner writing these reviews, and by the looks of Zap Computer Repair's reviews, that""s what it seems like. I've been writing reviews for over 20 years, and the reviews I see for this company, 98% of them look to be fake! more

These guys are professional and work to help you out.\r I'm 19 and new to the Whitter area. A couple weeks ago I stepped on my computer and cracked the LCD. I was shopping around and a lot of places charged $250 to $300 just to replace the screen. When I called these guys up, he told me it would only cost $200 for everything which covered labor costs and shipment. Turns out there was a lot more damage. The mother board was messed up and needed a lot of work, but before they fixed it and added a bunch of hidden fees, they gave me a call and told me what was wrong. They said they would take care of everything for only $50 more. Talk about a lot of bang for your buck. If you want great service for a great price, and some really nice guys, you won't find a better place than Zap's Computer Repair. more

I went to this computer repair shop to get an estimate to have my computer checked out. The guy working there gave me a quote which I thought was a little high but I did'n't have time to shop around so I told him I would bring in my computer. I'm a 61 year old woman and the computer is very heavy. Nobody in that shop offered to help me or even opened the door for me. Out of the 4 or 5 guys I saw there at least one of them could of helped me. I know they saw me because they were all looking out the window. The people who work here seem very very lazy to me with no customer services skills at all. I decided to take my computer elsewhere where they deserve my business. more

First of all, I have to say that these guys made my day!! I had two computers that were full of viruses. I dropped them off at Zap and within two days time, I had them back and ready to go. \r But, what makes Zap so special is their honesty and professional service. I couldn't truly afford to have both my computers worked on but they understood that times are hard for some and gave me the extra time to come up with the funds. A great service and fantasic price!!\r Their sincerity combined with honestly will keep me a loyal customer. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to family and friends. Thanks again guys!!
