Zachary's is very popular, and has a cult-like following. But you'll find very few discerning diners who rave about the place. It's an unusual style of pizza for the region (deep dish), but it's not terribly well-made food. The crust is average, the sauce is bland and flavored with dried oregano and little else. The cheese is no different then what you'd find in a Round Table pizza. The main attraction is simply that it has many fans, and it's the popular thing to say ""I love Zachary's"" whether you honestly like it or not. I'd guarantee that anyone with a love for quality food could not detect anything fresh or original in a Zachary's pizza.
Pros: popular, trendy
Cons: poor service, overhyped, dull flavors
