A good place for some light decadence. 1/8/2010

...by "light decadence" I mean a happy hour with an incredible tequila menu and a menu to go with it. If you're on a diet, you might as well kiss this place goodbye! I sometimes like to ask for a side of melted butter which I use as a dipping sauce for the complimentary corn bread (which is an already delicious combination of corn and butter). Eating there reminds me of what I feel when I go to a resort; it's casual and they pamper me. more

Went back again and still love it 1/30/2009

Went back to this restaurant again since the first experience was great. The corn bread is exactly what I remembered and love their honey cream butter. I ordered Baked Seafood Enchilada. We also got their Nachos, though it was very interesting. Normally, you'd think Nachos will be plate of chips and toppings. But they had this home made chip plus individually topped. I absolutely love this mall and there are other restaurants near by. This restaurant is accessible from the parking lot P3, and is beside the Starbucks Lodge and Crate and Barrel. Ask for a window seat, great view of the Lincoln Sq. Z'Tejas Grill in Bellevue is awesome! more

Love the happy hour 11/28/2006

This has to be my favorite spot for happy hour in Bellevue. The bar area isn't huge, but you can usually get a table or seat within about 10 minutes. The strawberry margaritas are really good and you get a bit of a break during happy hour. The nachos are pretty good as well. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat and the crowd is pretty diverse, ranging from shoppers, business folk and everything between. My favorite part is when they bring you the fresh cornbread. It is in a skillet and fresh from the oven. It is so good and a free part of the happy hour. We have yet to eat an actual meal here (the bar is too good) but I'm sure it would be just as good in the dining room. more

Just OK 2/16/2006

I gotta tell ya, I had high hopes for this place as so many people I know raved about it. My experiences here have left much to be desired. The food is decent but, in my opinion, overpriced. My friend from New Mexico said that the food is most certainly not authentic "Southwestern;" however, it *was* most certainly edible. Slow, seemingly inexperienced waitstaff and weak, weak cocktails made our wait for our food less pleasant than it could have been. Going in for cocktails one evening during the holiday season, my friend and I went to sit at a cocktail table in the empty bar and were told by the obnoxious bartender NOT to sit there as he'd already re-set the tables for the next day. WHAT?! I would have walked out, but my friend insisted we stay. At any rate, not much good to say about this place. I probably won't ever set foot in there again - especially not for cocktails near closing time. more

Good Border Style Food 9/13/2005

Well, I'm a sucker for good food and Z'Tejas has it! With border inspired flavors it's a great place to enjoy a good, hot meal. Every meal I've had here has been fresh and flavorful. I took my girlfriend here because I heard it was a romantic place, and don't get me wrong it is, but it was kinda hard to see the menu because of the "mood lighting" If you've eaten your carrots, maybe give this place a try...even if you haven't, why don't you do it anyways ;) more

Great food and atmosphere 8/31/2005

Z'Tejas is a great place to enjoy a delicious dinner and drinks. It offers a variety of items and the food is always pippin hot and super good. The quality is always fresh and it is always prepared to the order. I did not like how dark it was in the restaurant (made it difficult to read the menu) but I guess the lighting was used to set a move of a nice upscale type place. I would definitely recommend this place for happy hour and to enjoy the company of your friends. It would be a great place to start a night of dancing and drinking off! more

The closest thing to Northern New Mexican food you can find in WA! 10/5/2004

Z'Tejas is a great, moderately priced restaurant that blends the flavors of Northern New Mexico and Mexican food with a Northwest zest! The dishes are substantial, so it's best to eat "family style" and taste a little bit of lots of dishes. Try the Pecan Crusted Spinach Salad - it's to die for!! more
