Ok I?ve been to MANY MANY MANY sushi places here in LA and this is one of the worst. First off and this may not matter to some of you but they have a B health dept rating. IMO a sushi restaurant should have an A. The sushi chef was not helpful nor did he seem to care about his job, when I asked him what was good today, he said everything. When I asked him if he had dungeonous crab he said no I have blue crab, but that his favorite was king crab. I said OK I?ll have king crab, he said no we don't have that. I said OK I?ll have blue crab he said no we don't have that?... On to the food. It was BELOW average not horrible not good, it was bad. The tuna was poor quality light pink not a nice deep red hue, it was tough and poorly cut. The albacore while tender to the mouth had a horrible ""kitchen cleaner"" aftertaste. The scallop was tough and old, and the eel was undercooked and gooey. So I figured maybe this is a roll place and I ordered a spicy tuna roll the spices used in their spicy tuna were bland and un appetizing. I would not recommend the sushi at this place to anyone, they did have cooked items on the menu too but if your going to name your restaurant ""something sushi"" I?d expect it to be decent and this was quite BAD. The prices were good so I?ll give them that and the waitress was friendly. OH and the guy that fills up your green tea was great very attentive LOL but the food eck YUCK.
