I had a wonderful time at Z Sushi. The food was extremely well crafted and presented and it was absolutely delicious. The service was pleasant and not overbearing. The sushi was fresh and they offered premium toro as well as daily specials flown in from Japan. My friends who did not eat sushi were delighted by their abundance of cooked items such as the BBQ Beef (Try It!) and Black Cod. They had a wide variety of sakes and a full bar. Z definitely came as a complete surprise. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was trendy and classy. I was absolutely taken aback by the price. It was inexpensive and very reasonable. They had a variety of sushi that was flown in from Japan and their Beef Wrapped Asparagus was delicious. You must try their ""Z Special"". The one drawback is their location. It is in Alhambra next to In N' Out and so I didn't expect to find such a nice Japanese restaurant. In fact, I found Z Sushi when I walked over from In N' Out because the line at In N' Out was too long and I was hungry. Z is a great place to take clients and friends. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT !! 10/17/2002

Z Sushi came as a complete surprise. The sushi was extremely fresh and they had a wide variety of cooked entrees for my colleagues who didn't eat sushi. Z's premium toro was delicious and their BBQ Beef was unlike anything I have ever tasted. They had a full bar with exotic sakes (raspberry!) and martinis. The music was delightful, the service was great and parking was convenient. The prices were unbelievably low for the elegant atmosphere that they offered. Z is definitely one of the best kept secrets and my new favorite Japanese restaurant. Pros: Inexpensive, Fresh Food, Elegant Atmosphere Cons: None, None, None more
