I am very particular about who touches my hair and being of mixed race, not everyone knows how to care for and style my hair. Shadan is wonderful at what she does. She listens to the customer's needs and maintains a very professional atmosphere for her clients. Her recommendations from shampoos to the latest hairstyles are unique to the client as an individual. This is a way overdue review of Richard Vasquez?s hair artistry! Simply put he?s great at his job. He?s creative, unafraid to take on a challenge, and encourages his customer?s participation in figuring out a hairstyle and color. I respect that considering a lot of hair stylists seem to give you a style that they think is best without seeking the customer?s input. Richard on the other hand asks his customers questions, discusses ideas and makes it pretty evident that his priority is for his customers to like their hair at the end. Don?t get me wrong, if you want him to do whatever he thinks is best, he?ll do that as well. What I really enjoy about engaging him as my hair stylist is that he loves what he does! And as we all know, a man who loves what he does and is totally immersed in it, coupled with his efforts to please his clients, makes for a rewarding experience at the end- I have left loving my hair each of the 6 times I?ve seen him over the last 3 years! I highly recommend Richard to someone who?s looking for a creative stylist who?s not afraid to push the conventional fashion sense. He has often mixed custom hair colors for me to suit my taste and skin and diligently worked on my hair every single time. He does have a spunky personality as well to keep you entertained through your visit! more

I have blonde hair, and as my fellow blondies know its hard to keep up with the cool blonde tones so when you find someone who knows what theyre doing- STAY. I have searched for years for a stylist who knew what they were doing- ive been through the WORST experiences... bleach has ran and burned my scalp, chunks of hair fell out, extremely damaging products, no help at all.... everything. But then i found ASHLEY!!!! and thank god...... she knows exactly what she is doing and i trust her 100000%. When i explained to her what i wanted she gave me exactly what i described. My hair wasnt yellow, or brassy, or white. I twas a perfect combo of blonde tones. Plus, she is super cute and friendly. I will continue seeing her for as long as i can! more

Shadan has been my hair guru for the past 5yrs shes amazing!! She's always been able to help me with my hair disasters when I get the experimental itch :/ soo bad I know but she's always there to help with damage control. lol She's also pretty flexible and tries to work with your schedule. more

I was looking for a new salon and stylist since the stylist I had gone to for a while moved to another state. I was lucky enough to look into the reviews for this salon and as everyone had raved about Richard, I decided to take the plunge. I need not have worried in the least - Richard was absolutely perfect - in my haircut and in renewing the color with some highlights. My hair is extremely fine and thin and it looks the best I've seen in a long time. Thank you, wonderful Richard, and his gracious assistant Marik (sorry if I misspelled) for the extra time you put in to make this lady very happy. I'll see you guys soon again! more

A few years ago some evil stylist bleached my sh*t out of my hair and destroyed it. I was walking by this salon and Richard coaxed me in. I asked who was the best colorist and Nas(the owner) referred me to Ashley. I've been seeing her every since and have referred all of my friends to her for everything from cuts, colors to brazillian blowouts and everyone loves her. She always leaves me hair super shiny and SUPER soft but most importantly healthy. She's also a fun person to chat with considering I'm usually there for a few hours. I'm naturally brunette but she colors my hair once and month and highlights every other month to give me the perfect blonde for my skin tone etc.. All in all this salon rocks I'm always happy when I leave everyone is friendly and sweet and the prices are great, Ashley saved my hair! P.s. Nas does amazing extensions and doesn't charge an arm and a leg! more

I love going to this salon. Everyone there is super cool. I see Ashley. She is amazing at color. In fact I have a date tonight and I am going there in a few hours. Love the ways she does my blow out. She is so good at making my hair look sexy. Everyone needs a great hairstylist shes mine. more

XS Salon and Spa is clean and accommodating. Stylist, Colorist, Richard Vasquez has been doing my hair for 13 years. He always goes the extra mile and does it with a smile. He's worth 10 times what he charges and he makes the process fun. His sense of style alone is worth the visit. Medik, his assistant is cute and has great legs! more

Richard Vasquez and Medik rocked the house. Took care of my mother with Highlights and a total new style of hair she never experienced before. Needless to say she is 82 years old, but age doesn't matter when it comes to highend hair without the highend price. I had my hair done by a woman in burbank, she made it green. my hair had been dyed so many times i thought it would fall out if i tried to fix it. Ive know ASHLEY for a few yrs and felt ignorant to not have asked her to do my hair b4 anyone else. Pros: classy, well informed, hip, every cut is done perfect! Cons: parking spots are limited, but worth looking for. more

I recently went in to XS Salon to get my hair cut and styled. I expected great service and what I got was even more. I was seen by Cindy, a wonderfully charismatic person with a kind face and a bright smile, and she was more than great. Pros: friendly, funny, professional, great location more

This salon is great! I highly recommend it. Everyone is very warm and friendly, yet extremely professional. They have complimentary coffee, tea, and goodies to snack on too. Pros: great location with parking, fun and friendly atmosphere Cons: Didn't find one more

I am in LOVE with my hair.. color and cut are something else!!! even days after when I had to (god forbid) style it myself did it still look as tho I had just walked outta the salon! (and believe me, I am no magician with a curling brush or hairdryer!) I have to say the 6 hours I spent in there were the best 6 hours ever spent in a salon.. lol :) more
