Woodhouse Day Spa

Visited the Woodhouse for the first time today and it was an amazing experience for my girlfriend and I. Nathan, the Manager, booked our services several weeks ago and today when we came in he made it a point to come to us and introduce himself. The staff is very friendly. Got my nails done by Victoria who is an incredible nail tech and I will for sure be back for a pedicure soon. Very quiet and relaxing place. Enjoyed it very much. Great job to the staff. more

I always have an amazing experience at this spa! The staff is very friendly. In the first ten minutes of walking in you are given a comfortable robe and slippers to change into, tea to drink and a warm neckwrap while waiting for your service to begin. The concept is amazing- I ended up purchasing the robe and tea as gifts. There is not a therapist I have not tried that I have not been pleased with. I usually see Kelly or Kyle. Both are exceptional. Recently had a facial with Carrie who gave a great facial-she recommended the products just incase I wanted to purchase them at a later time, great customer service! more

See Kelly on a regular basis. She is an exceptional massage therapist. She is often booked so to see her you need to book for an appointment in advance. Kept very clean and organized. Always very peaceful and relaxing. I really recommend this spa. Great for spa parties also!!! more

I walked in and was greeted instantly. Was handed a robe and slippers and escorted almost immediately to where I needed to go. Once I changed and walked into the waiting room I had hot tea and a warm neck wrap waiting for me. I received a massage by a therapist named Soyla who was AMAZING! She used just the right amount of pressure. After my services I was greeted by the Manager who asked how my experience was. He was very sweet and very professional. Great customer service. The best spa that I have ever been to. I will definitely be back more

The interior is nice, but so are most spas. The prices are way too high for the services. The massage therapist was sweet but it was just OK. She cut my massage short(and yes i was on time). My pedicure was horrible. It was supposed to be 50 minutes, it wasnt even 20 minutes. she cleaned my feet, did a little massage, then put the polish on. Then I sat there for 25 minutes and she said I was good to put my shoes on. Then I got home and my toes were all messed up. I tried to email them and be nice, but they havent responded to me yet. There is a lot of competition in the area and the should step it up if they are going to call themselves a "high end" spa. Nail salons are cheaper and have better services! Who cares if you get a robe or not. more

I've been all over the world, traveled to many places, seen a lot of people; and I must say that "The Woodhouse Day Spa" in Sugarland is the best spa I've ever visited. Usually, when I go to a spa, it's always missing something. But when I first walked in this one, it immediately hit me with a smell that automatically calms your body. The staff is very nice and wanted to make sure I was taken care of at all times. I truly felt like a queen. I don't write reviews much but after this visit, I had to let everyone know that if you haven't been, you need to stop by. more

I decided to go see what it was about because I heard it was a spot where local celebrities and out of town celebrities go to relax. And sure enough, I saw an NFL football player going for a massage. Aside from that, my experience was off the charts. The spa is nice, elegant, and perfect for someone wanting to unwined after a long day. After going I decided to buy a gift card for my mother and she went with a couple of her friends and told me it was the best gift she ever received. I heard about the Woodhouse Day Spa from quite a few people that had told me about it and how they cater equally to men and women so I thought I would give it a try. And I must say, from the moment I booked my appointment to the moment I left; the staff made me feel like I was the most important person in the world. They served me warm tea, a wore the most comfortable robe, and my massage was the best one I had ever had. I'm definitely going back and I'm also going to use this as a gift-giver to family and friends in the future. Pros: wonderful and affordable service Cons: I can't think of one more

This spa is on the smaller end and the interior is nice but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it. Part of the reason I was drawn to the spa is because the prices are lower than what you usually see for spas but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. My masseuse was not very good at all. She appeared to be very new and not to say that new massage therapists can't do a good job, however this individual was particularly bad. She talked a lot, and was just really awkward. She just didn't give a good massage. more

I just learned that the Woodhouse Day Spa in Missouri City now has new owners and all new staff. Everyone is super nice and my services were great from beginning to end. Kristy did my massage and she was so nice and professional. The spa is much better than before, and I can't wait to go back. more

i visited the woodhouse day spa recently and had a fabulous experience. my massagge was amazing and lasted the full time, my facial was relaxing and my skin looks better, and the service was super friendly. i read the other reviews on here, and my time there was totally different. there are new owners and the new staff is friendly and helpful. i would definitely go back. In the last year, this spa has gone downhill. I used to come here frequently before moving out to California and enjoyed their massages and pedicures and even a facial every now and then. Although I have had positive experiences with their spa technicians, I have had my worst customer service experiences here. First, it was just cold and rude service from the women up front and I just decided that the quality of the treatments were worth it. But then, my husband booked a surprise day at the spa for me after speaking to a woman named Jen. When I arrived, I found out that I got a different masseuse than my husband had booked (just like another reviewer below) and so I told the women up front and they completely denied it. A woman named Carmen was extremely rude and didn't even apologize on behalf of the spa. She said I could have a 15% discount off my next spa appointment. Unfortunately for them, I've decided to never go back. more

I recently moved out to Missouri City after living in town and was hoping to find a good spa that was closer to home. I've been to Woodhouse 3 times now but am unsure if I will return for a 4th. The first 2 times I went, I scheduled a 90 min massage and the service was amazing-I believe my masseuse's name was Missy or Misty but she began right on time and the massage actually lasted almost the entire 90 mins which is pretty rare to find-they typically end about 15 mins prior!! She paid close attn to the areas that I was having problems with and the pressure was just right based on the form that I filled out. She was also very courteous and professional. The 3rd time I went I decided to take my best friend and we were both disappointed with some aspect of the service. I have no complaints about my massage but my facial was probably one of the worst ones I have ever had anywhere! I scheduled a 60 min facial and the guy was finished in about 30 but I was still charged for the 60 min one. He seemed extremely rushed and he left the room once or twice to go talk to some friends or coworkers that were by the front desk. I honestly probably could have done what he did myself and saved the money. My friend enjoyed her facial but said the noise level was so loud from the coworkers talking at the front desk that she could hear them the entire time during her massage so it was hard for her to unwind/relax. I do agree w/some of the other reviews that the staff doesn't seem very professional. I just found it a little nerve wracking that the noise wasn't coming from clients but the employees. I am unsure at this point if I would go back for a 4th visit but would recommend trying it yourself and deciding. I was given a gift card to Woodhouse and was so excited to enjoy some time at the spa - I did not know that it was going to be an entire day of waiting! My appointment started at 10am - I did not leave until almost 5pm just in time for traffic! And the only services I had were a 1 hour (did not last a full hour) massage and a manicure and pedicure. I spent most of my time waiting around and asking when my next treatment would begin. I brought my own polish (Chanel) and the nail tech broke the top of the bottle and spilled it all over the floor (brand new bottle!) with no apologies and no compensation. Then on the gift certificate there were about $20 left and I was going to use it on products but they told me that I was all settled up and that covered the tip. When I spoke with their headquarters about it - they informed me that was not normal procedures and I should have been able to use that for products. This was a horrible experience and was frustrating not relaxing! The one in Corpus Christi is fabulous though and I highly recommend that one - the Sugarland one is terrible please don't waste your money - they really need to get their act together. I had only heard about this spa a few times before I got a massage there as a surprise gift from a friend. I've been to countless places to get massage and spa treatments but none of them stood out the way Woodhouse did for me. I definitely won't forget this experience, it was really great. When you're greeted at the door, (you must arrive 15 minutes prior to your appt for preparation) they give you a really nice robe and slippers to change into. Then you're given a heated neck wrap as well. They also have an in-depth information sheet, requesting info about your skin, how you like your massages, etc. I've filled these out at massage places before, but Woodhouse seemed more attentive. This is important to me because I have really sensitive skin, and they paid attention to the chemicals I was allergic to, and also what areas of my body to avoid or pay special attention to. They tea they served in the waiting room was delicious, and their bedside manner a plus as well. When I was receiving my massage, the firmness was perfect. I had been referred to this spa by some friends. I live about 30 mins away but I decided to see what all the talk was about. I am so glad that I finally made an appointment! From the time I made the appointment to the time that i arrived the staff was so kind to me. I loved, loved the warm neck roll that they gave me while I waited for my service and my tea was so yummy. (considering i'm not really a tea fan) I had the Volcanic Stone Massage and half way through my massage I already knew that i was going to rebook for the next week! I live in that fast lane life and hardly get anytime for myself. After discovering the Woodhouse I am now going to make time to schedule an appointment at least once a month just for a little get away. My mother and I had a wonderful time when we visited the Woodhouse for her birthday. We enjoyed a full day of pampering from the minute we walked in the door! The staff was friendly and from our massages to our pedicures we enjoyed exceptional service. For anyone who wants a relaxing experience, I highly recommend it! more

The wood house Sugarland tries to pass itself off as an "elegant" place! What a joke! They are not even in the same league as Urban Retreat or Beautique Day Spa. I had an appointment scheduled for an hour massage with a certain therapist only to find out after I arrive (after waiting all day for my nice relaxing massage with a certain therapist) that my massage was switched without my approval to another therapist. This is rude and unprofessional.They should have atleast called and given me the option to reschedule, but instead was stuck with a terrible person. On another occasion (again after I had arrived) I was already in my robe when the massage therapist comes up to me (I was the last appointment of the day) and tells me she needs to reschedule because her hands ache. Today, I was schedule for a massage with someone (again the last appointment of the day) only to have him call me at teh 12th hour to cancel because an "emergency" has come up. If they dont want to have late appointments, they should not make them. THEY ARE THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL DAY SPA I'VE EVER BEEN to and I've been to a lite of nice resorts and day spas. They want to represent themselves as top notch when in fact they are NOT. I would never ever recommend unless you want to be disappointed! Pros: Location Cons: Poor Customer Service more
