Woodhouse Day Spa

My husband and I visted this spa during SpaFinder Deal Days. I had a massage and my husband had a facial. We both LOVED our services and will be going back very soon! The atmosphere was very quiet and relaxing and the staff was FABULOUS! more

I went to the Woodhouse Spa on the recommendation of a friend. Well, either my "friend" was playing a "practical joke" or she was unconscious when at this "Spa." I had an essential purifying facial. A few hours after the treatment, my face actually hurt and felt greasy! The front desk staff was very rude. The employee at the desk (also the "manager, I believe) did not look me in the eyes and she spoke so quickly that I couldn't understand her. Another person, a blonde lady with a bad dye job and a rough foreign accent, was REPRIMANDING THE STAFF FOR LATENESS IN FRONT OF THE CUSTOMERS! The young lady serving me was talking to a co-worker about quitting! Frankly, I would have complained then and there, but the atmosphere in the Spa was so "stress-oriented" and unfriendly that I said nothing at the time. I WILL NOT return to this Spa, nor can I recommend it. The whole experience was like walking "in slow motion" over a bed of hot coals! I am surprised that this Spa is licensed--but I heard from employee gossip that the turn-over rate for employees is "very high." It's too bad. In the right hands, this Spa could rank a 9 out of 10. Right now, it is somewhere around a 2 (at best). Too bad. more

I was so pleasantly surprised by this spa that I am looking forward to many future treatments. I love a high quality spa that provides me not only top services and aestheticians but also a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Very minor tweaks: I enjoyed the waiting lounge but it needs to be either bigger or seating can be somewhat better arranged as many people were standing around due to lack of seating. Also the ladies locker should provide some basic essential products to round out the experience. Pros: The facility was clean, atmosphere was relaxing, very aromatic, proper lighting, overall a very nice looking - makes you relaxed. I was greated immediately and brought to the waiting lounge immediately. I was offered a variety of hot teas served in china. There was water and plenty of glasses in the lounge. I had a facial that was wonderful, I have extremely sensitive skin and the products used were gentle and Kristyna was knowledgeable and excellent. They had an special deal days package to purchase future services which was a terrific deal. I cannot wait to visit this spa again for many more 'hopefully' relaxing and enjoyable spa treatments close to my home. It is nice not to have to trek into NYC for this level of service. more

The ambience is good. The place is clean. I like their thank you cards. That was something. Will definitely book another appointment. more

Second time getting a gentleman's manicure and the attendant cut nails way too close to the skin and cut me really bad. Didn't stop bleeding till after I left. Almost all of my nails are half done, the nail near the cuticle looks just like it did when I walked in + she didn't do anything to my nail she cut (although she did give me a pad so I could do it at home). She was obviously shaken up by it, so I was really nice about it thinking she would take something off the bill, but no they charged me full price. I would suggest asking how much experience your attendant has when you make the appointment. Don't think I will be going back. more

I have been to this spa several times now. I have had facials, massages and body treatments. All of the rooms are very comfortable and they only handle a limited number of people at a time so it is always quiet. It is a very nice atmosphere and the technicians are well trained. Small relaxation lounge. The only change I would like to see is a nicer lounge/locker room area with ammenitites like sauna, whirlpool, and steamroom. more

First time having massage. Experience was so exceptional and the staff was so inviting and professional. The atmosphere of the spa was very relaxing,and calming. Will definitely visit again. more
