Alluring 9/28/2011

Have a bewitching time at Witches Brew Inc. Snugly located on my way from work, I love dropping by and buying the latest concoction for the day. Their witchy shop also reminds me of the time I was into wicca. more

Masala Chai 5/5/2010

I LOVE their Masala Chai Tea...and it's decaf!! I find it very hard to find decaf teas I like. Teas come in cute individual tea-pots which you bring to the counter with your bill before you leave. Many yummy desserts: Cheesecakes, brownies, Rainbow cookies. Some of the cookies come in small portions; you get just a few. Cheesecake probably better value. Delicious Mozzarella & sweet pepper Focaccia! Not much other savory food though. Atmosphere: Interesting, cozy, artistic, indie, alternative, goth- has a little shop to buy candles, incense, etc. Seems sort of targeted toward young, indie/goth crowd, but diverse groups attend. A little too dark for me sometimes. I love sitting and talking with friends somewhere that's not starbucks, but sometimes I'm in the mood for somewhere brighter/ more upbeat. Gets crowded sometimes- the lines can be very long. Sometimes I wonder if it's not a fire hazzard- lots of tables, wood, old furniture, candles on every table, LOTS of guests, christmas lights strung all around... Pros: Masala Chai Tea Cons: A little too dark, sometimes long wait more

Great unique place 9/20/2009

If you're looking for a unique , coffee /dessert place with a great decor, a wide variety of tasty coffees and desserts than this is the place! Great for a date, get together with friends, or for whatever occasion. The decor is halloweeny but with a romantic feeling as well.\r There are cozy couches and chairs to sit on. The coffee drinks are all unique and delicious. Highly recommended for your not the typical coffee experience! more

Cozy atmosphere, Great Food 8/29/2009

I just went there and it was lovely. It's mainly couches and padded seats with small tables and candles everyone, making for a very romantic area. Although, the chairs/tables are located near one another so it's not the most private of places for one-on-one conversations, but its wonderful. The menu is compiled of many coffees, cappachinos, lattes, milkshakes, smoothies, hot chocolates, as well as pies, cakes, cookies, brownies, focaccias, ice cream, candy, etc. There is even an entire back page dedicated to vegan foods (brownies, cookies, cakes, pies, ice creams, beverages) which all seem extremely delicious. Being a vegetarian, I love to explore vegan foods so someday in the future i could possibly transfer over to becoming a vegan. These foods, though slightly different, are delicious. The waiters/waitresses are very kind and polite. Great hangout place! While I was there, there were teens, elderly, college students, and more. Great place to be! Pros: relaxing, comforting atmosphere... plenty of sweet options Cons: a tad pricey and not so private more

awesome place 10/25/2008

it was an awesome place i'd never been to a coffee shop like this before. It's kind of in a small house almost with a clear side so you can see in and it kind of looks like a permanent halloween. its very dark with little orange lights all around. the place has all these very vintage looking couches and seats. its something different beyond getting dunkin donuts. like the oher reviews said it was pricey but well worth it and if you think about it the place is more of a restaurant because you sit down and order from a menu. they probably charbe more because they have like waiters or whatever at starbucks you just tell them your order and leave. I loved it and would totally go back with more of my friends. Pros: awesome atmosphere, something different to do Cons: if going at the wrong time could be waiting at the front area more

Vegans.... 4/26/2008

Yeah I love this place because they have an awesome vegan menu, including likkke brownies ice cream cookies waffles focaccia ETC i really dig it, makes me happy. always worth it. Pros: vegan food, nice people, nice atmosphere Cons: awkward seating sometimes, busy more

Awesome Place 10/14/2006

I love this place! The deco is goth, there are skulls and stuff hanging from the ceiling, amongst it's leopard print walls. The wait staff is VERY friendly. My boyfriend and I go there all the time, and we find it can be romantic...although they sometimes play Jaimacain music, which I find extremely odd, it does not go with the deco...we sometimes hear Radiohead or something else. There is also an old Italian dude who we love...he is hilarious...he is there every time we go, and he is like the mascot! We go 4 times a week, and I HIGHLY recommend it! more

Best Rocker/Scene College Kids Coffee Shop EVER 8/3/2006

I went there for the first time last night, great food and staff, great vintage authentic feel, cozy and cool. Although avoid this place on the weekends Thurs-Sat if you dont feel like waiting 20+ minutes for waiting, they get veryy busy! Pros: Ambience, Service, Great drinks and food Cons: Seating took too long b.c of a large crowd, A tad expensive more

The Anti-Starbucks 11/30/2005

I have been to the Witches Brew three times now, and each has been a pleasant experience. The crowd is a Chex part Mix of college kids, gothic middle agers and the occasional balding D&D player. Although the music is nonstop, it is never turned up so loud that one can't easily hold a conversation. Everything from rap to old-school punk gets its turn on the speakers. I've been there when it's busy and I've never been asked to leave as the first reviewer unfortunately was. The prices aren't cheap. A large tea will run you $3.50, and the desserts average at $5. Still, because there are so few cool little non strip mall places to be had in Long Island, the high cost would never deter me from going. Pros: fun atmosphere, good music, friendly staff Cons: can get crowded, limited food menu, not inexpensive more

get in and out 2/12/2003

I enjoyed Witches Brew, however if you are there at a peak time be prepared to be told unpolitely that you have overstayed your welcome. Also the crowd is young. Pros: cute Cons: can't lounge more
