I have been to the Witches Brew three times now, and each has been a pleasant experience. The crowd is a Chex part Mix of college kids, gothic middle agers and the occasional balding D&D player. Although the music is nonstop, it is never turned up so loud that one can't easily hold a conversation. Everything from rap to old-school punk gets its turn on the speakers. I've been there when it's busy and I've never been asked to leave as the first reviewer unfortunately was. The prices aren't cheap. A large tea will run you $3.50, and the desserts average at $5. Still, because there are so few cool little non strip mall places to be had in Long Island, the high cost would never deter me from going.
Pros: fun atmosphere, good music, friendly staff
Cons: can get crowded, limited food menu, not inexpensive
