Upscale Brothel 8/17/2009

This so-called salon, is full of scantily clad GIRLS-no women to be seen... I took my two sons there after hearing great things from friends. Never have my sons been subjected to so much bare skin! They might has well have been prancing about topless! One of the "stylists" claimed to have had kids! What kind of example must she be setting for those children if she insists on wearing jeans that leave absolutely nothing to the imagination!? As for the cuts, I saw nothing special from any of these girls leave the salon. But, let's face it, it doesn't require a rocket scientists or even a high school diploma to whip out a pair of scissors and cut someones hair... Neither me nor my family will be returning to this "business". I'm afraid any man who entered this establishment wouldn't be able to help but commit adultery. These are the kinds of people to cause broken homes. more

LARRY BROOKS IS A FANTASTIC COLORIST!!!! 8/11/2009

My friend referred me to Larry at Wilson's. He is a color specialist. I have never really LOVED my color before going to him. He understands color and made it look just perfect for my skin tone. He just moved here from Florida and I am so thankful!! He's been doing hair for over 20 years and he really has become quite the "color expert!" He can solve ALL your hair color problems. I just went in to buy hair product and Larry had just started work here. When he said "curly hair is kinda my thing" I knew I had to give him a try. I have never had anyone actually finish my hair cut with a great style. They usually ended up giving me the diffuser to finish it myself. I have very fine, curly hair but Larry knew exactly what to do with it. I was in tears when I left (the good kind) :) I have gotten nothing but compliments since. Larry is a true professional! Pros: Best cut and style I have ever had...seriously. Cons: A little far for me to drive but worth it. more

Go see Shannon, trust me 7/21/2009

Shannon Kostyra is the only one I trust at Wilson's with my cut and color! She is one of the best in her field and I'm pretty picky when it comes to my hair, so that is high praise. So many people around Greenville go to hair colorists and it looks like they just picked up a bottle of drugstore color. You never get that with Shannon! She spends time with you going over what you like and dislike about your hair and she spends a lot of time on your color consultation. I've never walked out of there with anything less than excellent hair color that everyone compliments me on. Just make sure you book in advance because she's so good she books up really easily! HOLLY KNIGHT ROCKS!!!! 7/17/2009

I have been a faithful follower of Holly Knight for almost 8 years. I will continue to follow her where ever her path might take her. She is by far one of the best in the business. Holly seems to always know what haircut or color looks best. Not only is she the best at what she does but I have formed a wonderful friendship with Holly. Don’t know what I would do without her!!!! I would proudly recommend Holly Knight to anyone for a cut, color and for friendship! I have had endless compliments on how great my hair looks. Great salon, environment and stylist. 7/11/2009

I went to see Larry at Wilson's on Washington after a friend recommended this salon and reading great reviews from his other clients on this website. I went to the same stylist for five years before relocating to Greenville a year ago and haven't been happy with my hair until today! Larry made me feel comfortable right away. He listened to what I wanted and delivered. He took his time with me to make sure that I was pleased. He did an amazing job on my cut and an equally amazing job on my highlights. I highly recommend him as he is a very talented stylist. I have already made my next appointment. Take a leap of faith and go see Larry! He is definitely not your everyday average hair stylist. He is an ultra professional, one of a kind hair stylist and like the other reviews say you will not be disappointed! The staff was very friendly as well. Pros: Talented and Professional Stylist more

I went to wilson's because i needed a hairdo that was stylish and easy to manage and i met Larry. He not only listened to what i wanted, he was able to make fabulous suggestions and make my hair not only stylish, but was able to show me the versatile ways i could do my hair at home. He is professional, friendly, and did a fabulous job on my hair. i am still getting compliments a month later. more

I have heard great things about todd burns and have tried to locate him for a while. I found him last week at wilsons and I feel like a new person.I got a cut and some color after saying just do what you want, I once again can only say i feel like a million dollars and thanks to todd I look it too.TY! Olivia does great work 6/23/2009

I moved to Greenville about a year ago and started getting color and cuts from Olivia. My hair was a wreck from a previous stylist; I had unnatural chunks of low lights and streaks of blonde and it was dry and brittle. Olivia did amazing work, and my hair was the exact shade of blonde I wanted. I only have to visit around every two months for root touch ups, so my hair is much healthier than before when I'd have to get touch ups far more frequently. She works quickly and efficiently and is very accomodating for my schedule for appointments. If you're looking for an expert colorist or just a stylist in general, I'd definitely ask for Olivia! I needed a new stylist because my other one was always running late and cancelling my appts with her so I called up to wilson's and was reffered to Alan. He was very sweet and took the time to listen to what my concerns were about my color. I never felt rushed or anything. He did an awesome job at my color and a friend of mine had extensions with him and shes never been happier. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs a great stylist! Go see Alan!! I went to Larry after doing a search for best color in Greenville. I had been going to a stylist who did as she pleased instead of what I had asked. I looked just awful. Larry sat down and listened to me for a long time and then told me all that could be done. He saved my hair from all the damage she had been inflicting on me. My hair now looks great color and style wise. His personality is great. Larry is the only one I would see. Finally - someone who listens, cares, and knows what to do! Let me begin by saying that I am extremely cautious about who I allow to touch my hair because I have had numerous bad experiences in the past. Thus, I had previously been driving 10 hours to a salon in OH. After a year of doing this, I decided to try Wilson's on Washington. Upon entering the salon, I was introduced to Larry Brooks, a stylist who recently moved to South Carolina from Florida. Larry put my mind at ease and listened to my concerns... and I have never been happier with my hair color and cut! I would recommend his services to anyone! Beautiful Up-Do 6/2/2009

I went to Wilson's on Washington and was referred to Larry Brooks from a friend of mine. He did a color correction on her hair and it looked Awesome!! She was so excited because her hair had looked dull for sooo long and he made it look gorgeous and healthy. So she referred me to him when I needed an updo for a special occasion. I had no idea what I wanted it to look like, but he was very creative and offered lots of ideas. He never rushed with me and he did a beautiful job. My hair never before had looked so beautiful. I would recommend him for anyone needing an updo or style for a special occasion. My friend would also recommend him to anyone needing color correction or hilites and lowlites. more

ASK FOR LARRY BROOKS-YOU WONT BE SORRY! 5/27/2009

I recently had a hair color disaster-you know the type....DARK roots, washed out highlights, fried texture. I called Wilson's to find out who there is the very best on fixing messed up hair bc I didn't want to look worse...lol. They told me that Wilson had just recruited a guy from Jacksonville, Florida for that very reason. The bottom line....LARRY BROOKS TRANSFORMED my hair into a lovely, shining head of healthy-looking hair in 2 hours!! And the price was very reasonable. AMAZING. The bonus is he is a sharp, down-to-earth guy with a terrific personality too. :) Thanks Larry!!! You are the best! Pros: HE CAN FIX ANY HAIR PROBLEM YOU HAVE!! Cons: none more

Larry Brooks has moved 5/26/2009

Larry Brooks has moved from Wilson's to Mod Studio on the corner of Stone and Bennett. He has been doing my hair since he moved to S.C. and he is the best colorist in town!! My hair is so healthy and vibrant looking. He has over 25 years of experience and I'm so glad I found him. So check out the new salon it is so amazing and it has a much more relaxed atmosphere. Extraordinary 5/5/2009

I went to see Holly Knight at Wilson's today. She spent 8 hours with me, fixing two years worth of bad hair color. My color looks natural and beautiful and my hair cut is edgy and fun, EXACTLY what I wanted!! Holly Knight is a genius! Go to her if you want the best hair you've ever had! more
